SOUSA loves collecting music as many as possible. Especially those old gems. He’s a musician (guitar) first and selector/collector second. He doesn’t call himself a ‘dj’ but prefers ‘selector’. His mission is to surprise his audience with his fine taste and choice of music.

He spins those old and great tracks which defines his taste and spirit; The poetic sounds from the beautiful country of Brazil. Those slick and heartfelt tunes of Soul music. That nasty dirty raw sounds of the Funk. Jazz Fusion tracks that should be played more often. Sometimes he tries to fill in some Deep House or Disco if it’s permitted by the venue or location.

As a selector he played on different kinds of venues and locations in Rotterdam such as LantarenVenster, Annabel, Sjatzi, Ballroom, Secret Society, North Sea Jazz Festival 2017.

For Operator he will select some great tracks. His personal favourites. A small selection of his own ‘library’ which keeps on growing and growing. Expect some groovy and some unknown sounds that will move you.
