Gurney-Champion

Gurney Champion (Thomas Gurney-Champion) is a proud member of the KLEAR agency.

Artist in heart and soul. He mixes the sound of today with the sound of tomorrow. In his sets he blends RnB and Hip Hop with House, UK and Disco music. Nevertheless, he isn’t afraid to surprise the crowd by playing African or Brazilian music, or bringing a percussionist to play alongside his set
He draws inspiration from the beginning of this millennium, pop music, culture and contemporary art.

Gurney Champion always gives everything he's got, whether he plays for fifteen minutes or for three hours. He is a prominent figure in the Amsterdam underground club scene, but also regularly gets invited to play in Berlin, Manchester, Paris, Antwerp and other European cities, or at festivals like Lowlands and Down the Rabbit Hole. Besides the club scene, Gurney Champion hosted several radio shows on Red Light Radio, NTS Radio and Rinse FM.

In his previous role as co-founder and pack leader of the Orthogon Wolf crew and promoter in general, he invited artists such as Dj Oneman, Mykki Blanco, IAMNOBODI, Sam Tiba, Brenmar, Dave
Luxe, Jameszoo, Murlo, Eclair Fifi and Falcons to Amsterdam.

Besides being a club DJ, Gurney Champion makes music and has a passion for art. From the end of 2015, Gurney Champion started a project
in which he works together with various artists and produces music for their art projects. He loves to
approach music in a more abstract manner and give his own musical interpretation to various art
forms. For example - he produced the music for this short movie and he partly wrote the concept.
