Carista's very first mixtape made her win on January 6th 2012 the mixtape contest "The Lost Files of 2011" of BIRD. The evening that she heard she won the contest, she immediately had to come down to the club to show what she's made of alongside Rotterdam's finest DJ's. The evening was a succes, it opened doors for her and she hasn't look back ever since.

Carista's DJ-sets are swinging in between electronic beats and grooves. Her diverse selection in music goes from broken beat, bruk-riddims, house, bass heavy sounds to disco, boogie and beyond. This makes Carista a versatile selector who isn't afraid to surprise the crowd whenever, wherever.
